WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item upgrades level by +3. Each upgrade items also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display the preview of an item level upgrade (portal.uaptc.edu)'s next level of upgrade item, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade require several methods, which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if those items come from another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.

Crests

Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment of a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests depending on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
