Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry messes. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, view floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you before it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market however, it comes with a lot of additional features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There's an impressive amount of options available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. They can be set through the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has a number of functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on market, sporting metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
