World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know what can be improved upon the reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrader way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is best to put Glyphs in key locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item upgrade.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback because it can make the item upgrade more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. The item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item upgrader it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to revert to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item level upgrade is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment requires different amounts of the upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs listed above.
