Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower creates, manufactures and distributes an entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses and school buses, as cargo buses as well as shuttles.

EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery systems.

GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of medium- and heavy-duty all-electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and Green Mobility scooters can be adapted to suit a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a clear paper sheet, which allows for optimum positioning of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This results in better payload/range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX is designed to serve mid to last mile refrigerated delivery and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4' one interior wall structure and higher insulation than conventional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer life span. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and a world-class payload to range ratio for zero-emission passenger and cargo transportation.

GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will enable fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging at 75 kW.

We had the chance to test the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on ruts and bumps, while the EV9 does an excellent job of suppressing road noise and wind on the highway. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by releasing the accelerator.

The EV9 provides a large range and can be recharged in just three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. The driver can choose from two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque as well as cruise control and handling while sport mode maximizes speed. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide an unique experience for anyone that has never been in an electric vehicle before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, such as a multi-purpose, all-green electric scooter mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit and transit buses, vanpools, or paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower produces approximately 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 all-electric cars. greenpower electric scooters will increase production to meet the needs of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. They will be eligible for federal transit grants.
