WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the item Level upgrade level by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for the latter due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrades that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool with an button, which will show an item upgrader kit's preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.
